The AGM was held recently, with excellent attendance by its members. The committee were re-elected into office as follows:
President – Dr Kim Chye,
Vice-President – Dr Katherine Bau,
Treasurer – Dr Wang Kwok,
Secretary – Dr Karen Chau,
Committee members – Dr Leanne Brown, Dr Michael Marfan, Dr Boon Kua.

This is a friendly final reminder that membership renewals are now due. Should you wish to continue your membership, and you have not already done so, please send your registration form and $60 renewal fee to Dr Wang Kwok (PO Box 2233 New Farm 4005). Should you wish to remain a member and receive ongoing correspondence and invitations to events after September, please ensure membership renewal by 30 September 2008. The registration form can be downloaded here.
AADA will be donating $5000 towards the Sichuan earthquake disaster on behalf of its members. Thank you to those who have already donated. Should you wish to donate, please send cheques (payable to "AADA Inc-Sichuan Earthquake Appeal") to Dr Wang Kwok (PO Box 2233 New Farm 4005) by 31 August 2008. A receipt will be sent to you.
Please inform Dr Michael Marfan of any changes to your personal details, especially your email address. All correspondence is now via email.
Thank you for your patience with the new process of RSVPs to dinner meetings. As this the process involves a special email program, that collates replies automatically, it would be appreciated if members could RSVP using the specific link (blue coloured web address) on the bottom of the newsletter. Please do not email your RSVP via the AADA email address.
A majestic tour to palaces/forts of India will be held 21 December 2008 – 02 January 2009: visiting Taj Mahal; a tiger safari & 5 star accommodation in palace-style hotels. The closing date to book your seat is 30 August 2008.
There are still places available with the African safari tour in June 2009. Please contact Vicki, Harvey World Travel, if you are interested in either tour (Ph. 3284 9222).
