Newsletter -- January 2008
The committee eagerly announce the Chinese New Year Dinner at Golden Palace restaurant (Cnr Ann and Duncan St, Valley ph 32528872) at 6.30 for 7pm on 23/2/08. Anticipate a night of good food, dancing and prizes. Members and their spouses/partners are warmly invited. Tickets cost $25 per person and are available from Dr Wang Kwok before 8/2/08. Please post a cheque payable to "AADA Inc" to PO Box 2233, New Farm Q4005 and your tickets will be posted to you. Please note that this is a ticket-only event. For practical purposes we regret that tickets will not be available on the night.
This is a friendly reminder that AADA has negotiated with pharmacuetical companies for partners/spouses only, at cost price, to be present at dinner meetings. We regret that this means that non-medical relatives, who are not spouses, are unable to attend the dinner meetings sponsored by pharmaceutical companies. We appreciate your understanding.
Thank you to those members who have provided your email addresses for the future distribution of AADA correspondence. In the interest of the environment, the AADA plans to phase out postal-delivered mail after a few months. Thus, to those members who still need to supply your email, we encourage you to urgently contact Dr Leanne Brown (Ph. 32657748, Email: )
We are happy to announce that the AADA website will be functioning as at January 2008. This is another avenue where members and potential members can access newsletters, upcoming events and membership forms. The website can be found on www.aadaqld.com.au.
The ACCMA Conference will be held in the Blue Mountains, NSW, on 7/6/08 - 9/6/08. Registration forms are available on the AADA website should members be interested.
Should there be anyone interested in joining AADA, please refer him/her to Dr Leanne Brown (Ph. 32657748, Email: )
Finally, the AADA committee wishes its members and their families a Happy New Year.
Dr Karen Chau
(Hon Secretary)
