Dr Katherine Bau and Dr Wang Kwok presented the Chinese Embassy with a $11800 donation on behalf of AADA for the Sichuan Earthquake Disaster. A certificate of appreciation was received. Thank you to those who contributed to this appeal.
The AADA committee has been working hard to arrange sponsors for future dinner meetings and events. Unfortunately Medicines Australia legislation has become increasingly strict and pharmaceutical companies are stating there are more restrictions to their budgets. In addition to this there has been a rise in cost of functions. The AADA committee will continue to strive as hard as possible to try to maintain the same costs to members for functions.
There are still places available for the exciting African safari tour in June 2009. This is now open to non-AADA members also. Please contact Vicki, Harvey World Travel, if you are interested (Ph. 3284 9222).
