Education Meeting Information:
1 in 2 COPD patients hospitalised due to an
exacerbation may die within 4 years.1 The reduction
of exacerbations should be a key focus in managing
COPD patients.

COPD exacerbations have a negative impact on the
quality of life of patients with COPD, accelerate
disease progression and can result in hospital
admissions and death.

In Australia, COPD is the second leading cause of
avoidable hospital admissions3 and remains the fifth
leading cause of death.

This meeting will give you an opportunity to
understand the latest management options and new
advances in pharmacological strategies for
moderate to severe COPD patients.
